Iron Candle Holders
Iron candle holders can add some romantic, old-world charm to you home decor. One of my favorite decorative items in my home is a set of three wrought iron candle holders on the wall in my foyer and those three candle holders really transformed the area! They are in the shape of leaves on twisting vines, and the effect it made to the entryway truly surprised me. It’s no wonder that iron candleholders are so popular today, however, before you buy them, be aware that they take a bit of care.
Care
Iron rusts and because of that, it’s best to place these candle holders in a dry room – so the bathroom may not be the best place for them since dampness and condensation can do a number on these candle holders. However, if you do end up getting some rust on yours, simply wash with a rust cleaning solution of your choice. Do not try to scrub the rust off with a wire brush or something similar because it will leave the holder with unattractive scratches. If you keep it in a dry room, you will likely never have to worry about this – the ones in my foyer are as lovely as they were when I first hung them seven years ago.
Where to Buy
Remember Illuminations? They made the most beautiful wrought iron candle holders I’ve ever seen, but unfortunately they went out of business earlier this year. Despite that, there are still some places that sell a variety of them, here are a few:
- Saladotex
- Wrought Iron Decor Store
- And one of my favorites, Pottery Barn, offers some lovely wall-mounted candle holders including iron ones.
After clicking on the links at the end of your Iron Candle Holders article I thought I would share with you and the readers, another site that sells different styles of iron candle holders than the ones available at Saladotex and the Wrought Iron Decor Store. I purchased my candle Courting candle holders from them, beautiful hand forged product and the service was good. website: Timeless Wrought Iron http://www.timelesswroughtiron.com/candle-holders
